PIT Specification

PIT (Pathology IT) is an old specification for transmitting a report from a pathology laboratory to a general practitioner here in Australia.

It was originally published in March 1994 by QML (Queensland Medical Laboratories) and S&N (Sullivan and Nicolaides Laboratories). It’s been widely distributed within Australia, and it still widely used, but so far as I can tell, it’s not posted online.

I’m posting it here so that it’s actually available, and can be referenced here from implementation guides. If anyone has a more recent version that 0.7, please send it to me.
